Rex Alvin Loker
Rex Alvin Loker was born in the town of Omro, on November 4, 1907. He was the son of Fred and Maude Loker. He graduated from Omro High School in 1925, and then worked on the family farm on County Rd. K, until his family moved to Milwaukee in 1926.
He then, worked at the Marshall and Ilsley Bank in Milwaukee, until the time he was drafted into the Army in 1941.
After boot camp at Camp Claiborne, LA., he was assigned to the 8th Army Transport Unit in North Africa. He was killed in a truck accident in July of 1943. There were over 18,000 U.S. Casualties during the North Africa Campaign.
