We lived on the last farm on west side of road, across from the sand pits. We had no numbers at that time. Howard went to Omro Junction School all 8 grades. We moved to Oshkosh in March, 1934. I'm not sure just exactly when Howie went into service. He was a turret gunner & flew 50 missions over Germany. I know he was only gone 18 months. It seems once they flew 50 missions, they were released. He was married and they had a baby boy named John when he was called to service. Probably 1943 to sometime in 1944. As told by his sister.
